Wednesday night in the OHL Finals, the London Knights lost 6-1 to the visiting
Belleville Bulls...Belleville takes a 3-1 series lead, with game 5 being Friday night in
Belleville...if the Knights win, game 6 will be Sunday night at the London Ice
House...tickets for that game will go on sale at the Ice House box office at 9am
Saturday morning...if you want to be assured a ticket, get there a few hours early, like
around 6am or 7am

I prefer to look at it as Ziegenbock vs. Bud but the result is till the
same.

Yes, he played great, but Jagr was the man. He won game 6 for them
(elimination game) and was very good in game 7, not to mention
providing some major distraction. I'd put Kovalev as a tie with
Straka much as it pains me.

>Goat: Brodeur - he's a vezina candidate every year, but he has

I'm hoping Marty just had his sophomore season a couple years late
(that or he has an evil twin who made a good number of appearances
this season), BUT Scott Stevens is the goat with Scott Niedermayer
as runnerup. Game 7 was spent screaming, Robbie, !@#$ you, no
Scotts on the ice :-); the folks riding my bus back to the city all
agreed that if the no trade clause rumors are true, he needs to be
sent to the Manitoba Moose for conditioning next year. Contract $s
should not determine who wears the C (Jagr has definitely become a
  real captain in the playoffs).

Recchi was probably playing with some concussion symptoms (he missed
one game after a big hit (and missing earlier games w/ an admitted
concussion), told reporters a number of symptoms that generally come
from concussions and then returned to the lineup with the docs
claiming the dizziness & stuff was just from some fatigue. I'd give
  him a break.

did the guy pitch hissy fits after taking stupid penalties? if the
answer is yes, it was Billy.

Lone Star is not considered 'beer'. It is considered to be close, however.
All it lacks is taste, body, color, bubbles and a decent amount of alcohol
in it to qualify.

We export Lone Star out of state. Everyone around the world is totally
convinced
that Texans don't know beans about brewing beer.....which is just the way we
want to
keep it. If anyone is caught at the Red River trying to smuggle Shiner Bock
or
Yegua Creek Ale into Oklahoma, they are immediately beaten senseless and
their beer is confiscated. We then give them several cases of Lone Star and
send them on their way.

Stars!

Hey, that's almost how I rate teams!!! Well, I'd have to add cuteness of
the captain, but that's just me...;p NO I AM NOT A PUCK BUNNY! ;p Seeing as
it seems as if everyone's analyzing the second round, here's my fearless
forecast...

East:

Toronto vs. Pittsburgh-
This might be a tuffie...both teams are fighting for more than the
stanley cup. Toronto's basically got all of Canada on their back (or, at
least all the Canadian Nationalists that I chat with seem to think so), and
Pittsburgh's got the future of their franchise, LITERALLY, on their back. I
say Toronto in seven, because Cujo's just been awesome this year, and at
least their captain doesn't look like he's got a poodle glued to the top of
his head...;p

Boston vs. Buffalo-
Another tough one to pick, for me anyway. I'd really like to see
Bourque win a Stanley Cup finally. He definately deserves one. However,
Buffalo's got that guy, I forgot his name, something like Hasek? *JUST
KIDDING!* Plus, Buffalo did pretty much anailate the Senators, and I just
think Peca and Juneau rock. Sabres in 8 (I see some overtime games coming
that might just create another game, time wise.)

West:

Dallas vs. St. Louis-
Definately Stars. It's gonna go into five games, and they're all gonna
be close ones, but the Stars will pull it out. The Blues did just get over
a grueling series with the Yolks, and we (as in the Stars) only had a four
game series (okay, five time wise. But Buttman doesn't count that in
suspensions, so why should we?) Also, we ARE going to have El Capitan back
kicking arse for game 2. Plus, how can I root against a team that I have a
twelve inch /barbie doll of one of their players? ;p

Detroit vs. Colorado-
Does someone REALLY have to win this series? Can't we just get a bye
into the finals? *lol* This is going to be a tough series, physically and
mentally. I can't wait to see the next installment in the goalie fights
between Roy and Osgood. As much as I would like to see the Stars prove they
could kick Detroit's bum in the confrence finals, Colorado's gonna get this
series in seven. They got the firepower, they got the goalie, and they got
the Short One. Plus I wanna see Detroit lose, and I wanna see them lose
BAAD.

There, there's my fearful predictions. I'll prepare the mailbox for the
flames. *coats mailbox in asbestos*

Melissa
*why broccoli, SleepyLion?*

I agree with TJ. I grew up in Dallas and Mark Tuinei was one of the
nicest guys to ever play for the Cowboys. It's like losing a member of
your family. For those outside the Dallas area, you can find more info
at:

http://espn.go.com/nfl/news/1999/990506/01245975.html

Here's an excerpt:

PLANO, Texas -- Mark Tuinei, who helped the Dallas Cowboys win three Super
Bowls during his 15-year career, died Thursday morning after a friend
found him unconscious in his car. Tuinei was 39.

Plano police chief Bruce Glasscock said the unidentified friend, who had
been called and told to pick up Tuinei, found him in a vehicle outside his
home. After the man called for help, firemen tried to revive Tuinei, but
he was pronounced dead upon arriving at Medical Center of Plano, a north
Dallas suburb.

Mark Tuinei played 195 regular-season games during his career with Dallas.
The cause of death was not immediately known. Glasscock said foul play,
alcohol or drugs were not believed to be involved.

"There is nothing in the investigation at this time that would indicate
that," Glasscock said. "We're treating this like any other unattended
death."

A preliminary report from medical examiners was expected by midafternoon
Thursday. However, Glasscock said it could take several days for any
definitive information from an autopsy or toxicology reports.
